Identity Studies

Three fictional identities used as fields of exploration: a stay, a habit, a signature.

Self-initiated studies by VALENQO, with no client and no commission. The identities and contexts shown are fictional.

Two overlapping Auralis Hotel door hangers on a pink background, one caramel and one brown, with a sun motif, the messages “Please clean my room” and “Please do not disturb” and the script logotype.

Hospitality study, A stay. One identity spread across the objects of a stay.

Auralis Hotel · fictional identity

Auralis Hotel is a fictional identity, created for this study. It follows a stay, from the key card handed over on arrival to the objects in the room and the bathroom.

The study looks at what repeats from one object to the next, and at what varies: a monogram, a sun motif, a script logotype and one palette of browns, cream and caramel.

Two bathrobes side by side on a pink background: one brown with cream piping, one cream with brown piping, each embroidered with an A monogram in a circle.

Two bottles on a pale stone in front of a pink background: a beige conditioner and a brown pump shampoo, with a lotus and a line drawing.

The bottles keep the palette but carry another ornament: the clearest variation in the system.
